Tuesday evening at Ledreborg Castle took a sweeping turn upwards for Jacob Jelsing and Niels Vrang when they proudly stepped up at the podium to receive this year’s title and prize as EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Region Zealand.
Celebrates growth, values, leadership and social engagement
The contest and title EY Entrepreneur of the Year celebrates companies’ ability to grow economically as well as their capacity to grow and thrive on values, leadership, and social engagement. In total, 301 companies from Zealand met the requirements that give access to the competition. Gubra won ahead of five other strong companies that were shortlisted for the title which is the biggest prize in the competition.
“The jury is impressed by the company’s excellent results, which has also meant that the number of employees has doubled over the past year. This is largely a global business with sales to the United States and large parts of Europe and collaboration with some of the world’s leading pharma companies. It’s well done in a short time,” says Anders Flymer-Dindler, head of EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Zealand.
With this regional victory as EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Region Zealand, we are all set for the country finals taking place on 28 November. Last year we participated in the same finals under the category Innovation.
