Gubra today announced its support for a joint initiative led by the European Life Sciences Coalition, calling for strengthened framework conditions for Europe’s Life Sciences sector.
The initiative, presented in a joint letter published in leading European newspapers, is addressed to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the Council of Ministers, the President of the European Parliament, and Heads of State and Government.
The letter highlights the need for coordinated action to address structural challenges in Europe’s Life Sciences ecosystem, including access to capital, regulatory complexity, and market fragmentation. These factors continue to limit Europe’s ability to scale innovation and translate scientific research into new therapies.
“At Gubra, we see every day how strong the European scientific foundation is,” says Markus Rohrwild, CEO of Gubra. “Europe has a unique opportunity to build on this strength by fostering an environment that helps scientific breakthroughs progress efficiently from discovery to patient impact. This includes access to long-term capital, predictable regulatory pathways, and policies that support innovation throughout the life sciences value chain,” Markus Rohrwild, CEO of Gubra, says.
The coalition calls for measures to mobilise public and private investment, simplify regulatory pathways, and support companies across the full innovation lifecycle.
Gubra supports this direction and remains committed to contributing to a strong and internationally competitive European Life Sciences ecosystem.
