UX / UI Developer

Job description: 
At Gubra we think big and only the best solution is good enough. For an exciting and ambitious software development project, we are looking for a talented and dedicated UI/UX designer / developer.  
Gubra is a company with a very dynamic and fast-paced drive. We work with preclinical research to find new medicine within diabetes, obesity and related diseases.  To support our research, we are constantly developing internal tools to support collection and processing of the vast amount of research data we create every day. This is where our new UX/UI designer / developer comes in to ensure a coherent and great user experience. 
If you can see yourself contribute to a greater cause by using your passion for making great tools for our users, your experience in working in projects and has the relevant competences, we can offer you an exciting position with great influence in a highly prioritized project. 
You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, e.g. software engineers in Denmark and India, an in-house product manager, group leaders, and the CTO. As such, we value great communication and collaboration skills reaching for our common goals. 
Your tasks as UX / UI Designer / Developer: 
  • Create solution / application design based on requirements from stakeholders and user feedback 
  • Create mock-ups and more detailed UI specifications 
  • Collaborate with developers on implementation of UI 
  • Ensure a consistent design line 
  • Contribute to making user-friendly and efficient solutions 
Professional qualifications: 
You have some tangible experience as UI/UX designer / developer within software and / or hardware development you can demonstrate. 
Ideally the “unrealistic” requirements could be: 
  • Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript 
  • 3-5 years’ experience developing and deploying web applications using Angular.js/Node.js/[insert trendy library here] 
  • Expert knowledge of modern design tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc. 
  • Expertise with designing and conducting usability tests and analysing testing results 
  • Expertise with user experience techniques such as journey mapping, storyboarding, and personas 
More realistically we search for a candidate who has: 
  • Flair for, experience with or maybe even expertise in in developing great user interfaces for complex systems 
  • A passion for making great tools for users 
  • Experience from working in projects and with software developers 
  • Some experience with front-end development, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React – either from own experience or collaborating with front-end developers 
  • A desire for creating something new, different and difficult – that doesn’t look like Snapchat or any other mainstream app 
  • Relevant education  
Personal qualifications: 
You take great pride in your professional work, you are on time and simultaneously manage to be flexible. Other personal qualifications include team spirit, good communication skills and a constructive mind set when troubleshooting is necessary. In general, you have a positive approach and are dedicated to your work. You solve your assignments carefully and thoroughly. Moreover, you can manage many different tasks.
